Project Open Room

Safe spaces for honest conversations

We build connections and provide peer support for teens facing mental health challenges and substance pressure. This is a community where people feel seen, listened to, and respected.

Did you know?

A 2024 CDC study found that many teens who use substances say they do it to feel calm or relaxed, and many report doing so alone.

How the community works

Opening up is not always easy. The platform is designed to meet you where you are and make sure your voice is handled with care.

1. Share your story

Write what has been on your mind, in your own words. You choose how your name appears, and nothing is public yet.

2. We look out for you

Your post is reviewed to understand what kind of support might help, and anything that feels urgent is flagged for quicker attention.

3. Thoughtful review

Before your post appears publicly, it is checked to help keep the space safe. Support resources may also be shared alongside your post.

4. Real responses

Once approved, others can respond with support. Professionals are clearly labeled when they take part.
