About Project Open Room
Our story, mission, and approach to creating safe spaces for honest conversations about mental health.
Our Mission
Project Open Room exists to create safe, judgment-free spaces where teens can have honest conversations about mental health, substance pressure, and the challenges of growing up. We believe that connection, peer support, and better coping strategies can transform lives and build stronger communities.
Why This Matters
Too many teens are struggling in silence. Mental health challenges and substance pressure are real issues that affect young people in every community, including right here in Nashua, NH.
When teens don't have safe spaces to talk about what they're going through, they often turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms or suffer alone. We believe that every young person deserves to be heard, understood, and supported.
By creating these "open rooms," both physical and virtual, we are working to break down the stigma around mental health and build a community where asking for help is seen as a sign of strength, not weakness.
Founder's Note
Project Open Room started with a simple belief: everyone deserves a space where they can talk openly about their mental health without fear or judgment. I created this platform to help break the silence that so many young people live with every day.
This is more than a project. It’s a growing community of people who care, listen, and support each other. Whether you're struggling, learning, or looking to help someone else, you're not alone here. We're building something honest, safe, and hopeful. One conversation at a time.
Thank you for being a part of it.

Our Approach
Connection
We believe that meaningful relationships are the foundation of mental wellness. Our programs focus on building genuine connections between peers who understand each other's experiences.
Peer Support
Sometimes the best support comes from someone who's been there. We facilitate peer to peer conversations and support groups where teens can share their stories and learn from each other.
Better Coping
We provide practical tools and strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions in healthy ways. These are alternatives to numbing or avoiding problems.
